Chantelle’s back in the Big Brother House

As Big Brother’s final series came to a close, its winners and stars from previous series re-entered the house, in a bid to be crowned the ‘Ultimate Housemate’.  And the biggest draw for viewers now will be the opportunity to see Chantelle Houghton reunited with the man she fell in love with, married and divorced 10 months later – Preston.  Chantelle certainly looked ready to take on anything as she was interviewed by Davina last night.  Her hair extensions were classily tied back in a chignon and she wore a pretty silk dress.   Could this signify the start of a new chapter in the relationship with her ex?

The down-to-earth Essex lass became a hit with the public when she took part in Celebrity BB in 2006 and was tasked with trying to convince the ‘genuine’ celebrities that she was a singer in a girlband, Kandy Floss.  Not only did she succeed in this challenge, but she went on to win the series and bagged an engagement to Ordinary Boys singer Preston, shortly afterwards.

Sadly, the marriage was short-lived; the pair broke up just ten months later and a war of words ensued.  Following the split, 27 year old Chantelle underwent a dramatic change of image, including hair extensions and a breast enlargement. Her increasing image obsession and incessant partying began to spiral out of control, resulting in her being likened to the tabloids’ favourite, Katie Price.

Her current image is pretty cool and sophisticated – now it remains to be seen if she can stay composed as she spends the next few days holed up with her ex….
