Cheryl Cole’s got new hair extensions

On Wednesday night, Cheryl Cole made her first red carpet appearance since her recent illness – and she marked the occasion with a set of super-long hair extensions, the longest we’ve seen on her yet.

The singer and X-Factor judge was looking radiant in a shimmering Ellie Saab dress, with the new hair extensions reaching her waist.  She was out to launch a new capsule ring collection for Grisogono, a luxury jeweller.  London’s posh Nobu was the venue and Cheryl was surrounded by friends including Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, Diana Vickers and Selena Gomez.  

This is the first time that Cheryl has made a red carpet appearance since the Cannes Film Festival in May, before she got sick.  Back then, she was in the throes of launching her solo career and her hair was shoulder-length, with honey-blonde highlights.  After recovering from malaria, the hair extensions went back in, but it looks like she’s had a whole new set done.  Her glamorous look was perfect for such a sophisticated event – and we hope it’s here to stay!
