Diana Vickers in image makeover

Two years ago, she was the sweet and innocent X-Factor contestant who wowed audiences with her quirky voice.  Now, upon the release of a feisty-sounding new single, My Wicked Heart, Diana has gone for a more cutting-edge style, complete with hair extensions and a new wardrobe.

Diana appeared on the X-Factor last weekend wearing her hair extensions in a shaggy braid slung over one shoulder – just like her friend and former mentor, Cheryl Cole.  Then a few days ago she appeared on ITV’s This Morning with a sultry, super-high high ponytail.  The hair was fastened with an additional clip-in hair extension wrapped around the base of the pony.

This latest style is not dissimilar from that sported by Madonna on her blonde ambition tour.  While it looks pretty cool, we can’t help but wonder if her head doesn’t ache a little with all that weight on it…!
