Fashionistas and Fishermen fight over Feathers!

It seems the whole world has gone crazy for wearing feathers in their hair.  High profile celebrities including Steven Tyler, Selena Gomez, Kesha, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Haylie Duff have all been spotted wearing feathers woven into their hair extensions.  The problem is, it is causing some serious supply issues in fishing stores, particularly in the US.

Fly fishermen everywhere are bemoaning the craze, claiming that it could even lead to a shortage of specially-bred roosters!  So serious has the issue become in certain US states, that some shop owners are even refusing to serve women….shocking, but true!

Of course you don’t have to resort to fly fishing stores to add some colour to your hair extensions.  You can purchase clip-in hair extensions in a variety of colours (mixing bright colours in your hair is just as fashionable), or there are a number of cute feather-related accessories available in our high street stores.  So if you’re thinking about jumping on the feathery bandwagon, first spare a thought for those bereft fishermen and the threatened chickens, and maybe go for one of these more “ethical” options!
