Going grey by design

Victoria Beckham may have ‘freaked out’ over finding her first few white hairs, but plenty of other women are positively embracing grey.  Celebrities who haven’t even begun to suffer the ravages of time – including Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Kelly Osbourne and Pink – have been spotted using hair dye, clip-in hair extensions or streaks of silver in order to channel this hot new trend.

Sixties icons such as Edie Sedgwick and Anne Bancroft first worked the silver fox look and it’s making something of a cult revival.  Pearl and pewter are set to dominate the autumn catwalks, which may explain why this look has become so popular.

To re-create a toned-down version, why not try some white blonde clip-in hair extensions: you’ll get the trendy silver-shimmer highlights, but you can be confident of looking way more ‘glam’ than ‘gran’….
