Hayden Panettiere rocks wavy blonde hair extensions

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere showed off some new “beach blonde” hair extensions at the recent Vans 2011 Custom Culture Contest in New York City.

The 21-year-old actress joined a celebrity panel who collectively selected the winning shoe design, which was the work of a high school student.

Hayden has experimented a fair bit with her hair over the past few years, switching between blonde and brunette, and varying the length from boyish crops to just past the shoulders.   This latest style is the closest we’ve seen for a while to that of her on-screen alter-ego, cheerleader Claire in Heroes.

Hayden has recently been spotted out with New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, but she firmly denies that the pair are dating, saying they are just really good friends.
