Hollywood’s leading men sport some impressive hair extensions

Hollywood A-listers Mickey Rourke and Jake Gyllenhaal are proving that hair extensions are not just for the girls. OK, so it’s all in the name of their art, but they look pretty cool anyway.
Mickey Rourke can currently be seen in our cinemas playing the role of vodka-swilling bad guy Ivan Vanko in Iron Man 2. As well as his famously hard features and awesome physique, Mickey completes the bad-boy look with some funky black and silver hair extensions. According to the film’s director, the look was very much of Mickey’s choosing, as he likes to be involved in the creation of his characters. He even spent some time in a Russian prison, as part of his preparation for the role.
Jake Gyllenhaal is the star of the forthcoming Disney film, Prince of Persia, an epic tale of an orphan who grows up to be a warrior prince in the sixth century. Jake was required to grow his hair for the part, as well as having some human hair extensions put in. He joked about the maintenance that is required of his new crowning glory, claiming that the daily shampooing and conditioning regime was how he managed to achieve his newly-honed biceps, pecs and abs.
These two men prove that hair extensions are not just for enhancing feminine beauty. They can actually make men look tougher, too!
