How to achieve Lea Michele’s sun-kissed look

Glee actress Lea Michele looked as glamorous as always at the Emmy Awards this week, as she showed off some new sunny, coppery highlights.  If you want to re-create this look, then it’s actually very easy to do – since Lea’s hair was styled with some clip-in hair extensions.  Adding some highlights this way allows you to subtly glam up your look – but without the commitment of a permanent colour.

When actresses are filming a new movie or a TV series, they are generally not permitted to tamper with their styles, so adding a few human hair extensions is the perfect way of making a temporary change.

To copy Lea’s two-tone tresses, simply buy some clip-in hair extensions which are a few shades lighter than your natural colour, fasten your hair in a ‘half-up do’ and insert the hair extensions randomly around your head.  Then, unclip your hair and let the top layer cover the extensions, and voila, you have the perfect sun-kissed look!
