How to create a chic ponytail like Lucy Liu
Posted by Jo Roberts on June 1, 2011

With summer well and truly here, you’ll probably want to tie back your hair extensions once in a while, whether it’s to keep them dry while you hit the beach or simply for adding a touch of glamour on an evening out.
Ponytails are very much on trend right now. You can go for a more tousled style, with tendrils around the face (as modelled recently by the likes of Angelina Jolie), or you can experiment with a truly chic and sleek style like Lucy Liu did at the recent New York premiere of Kung Fu Panda 2.
To get the Lucy look, you may need to add a few clip-in hair extensions to give you some extra length. After washing, simply blow-dry your hair straight, applying a serum to enhance shine and to smooth out any flyaway hairs. Create a side parting, then just pull the rest of it back at the middle of your head, below the crown, and fasten with an elastic. For the ultimately chic finish, twist a section of hair around the base of the ponytail and fasten with a Kirby grip.
