How to get Freida Pinto’s cascading curls

Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto recently showed off some gorgeous, glossy curls at the premiere of her latest movie, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, at the Toronto Film Festival.

Cascading curls are going to be big news this autumn/winter.  If you want to re-create Freida’s look, here’s how you do it…

Firstly, some clip-in extensions around the front sections will help to add fullness.  Human hair extensions can be styled just as if they were your own hair, which makes the following really easy to do.

Take around 1.5 inch sections of hair one at a time, lightly spray with a firm hold hairspray and wrap each one around your curling tongs or straighteners.  For added impact, alternate the direction of your curls with each section.

For the front sections, make sure you curl the hair away from your face.  Once the curling is complete, bow your head and lightly shake it all out.  Then, use a wide-toothed comb to lightly tease the hair, creating yet more volume.  Finish with a shine spray and if required, a little more hairspray – and voila!
