How to get soft curls like Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts was spotted looking effortlessly glamorous last week at the Giorgio Armani screening of Fair Game in New York. Her blonde hair extensions, complete with side parting and soft, simple curled style looked great, and best of all, it is super easy to re-create the look at home.  All you need are a hairdryer, curling tongs, clips, a brush, some styling product and hairspray.

STEP 1: After washing, towel dry your hair and apply your usual styling cream or mousse from roots to tips, then blow dry so that most of the moisture is taken out.

STEP 2: Brush and smooth your hair and create a side parting.

STEP 3: Starting at the back, divide your hair into sections and blow dry each section at a time, then use your tongs to create some loose curls.

STEP 4: Repeat this step for each section of hair and when you reach the front, begin wrapping the hair all the way around the tong. Directing hair towards the face, roll the hair half way up the hair shaft and then let drop.

STEP 5: When the curling’s all done, brush the hair through and fix the curls in place with a light hairspray.
