Kate Gosselin treats herself to more hair extensions

Reality TV star Kate Gosselin continues to raise eyebrows by spending a fortune on looking good.  She’s been spotted getting new hair extensions and colour in an exclusive salon that charges upwards of $5,000 for hair extension wefts and $950 for a cut!

Kate met stylist to the stars Ted Gibson when he gave her a mammoth 22-hour makeover for a celebrity magazine in January, and she has regularly flown to New York for appointments ever since then, in spite of the unbelievable cost. Earlier this year in June, we learned that the single mother of eight had already spent a whopping $21,000 on her hair in just 6 months, so we expect this number to have now doubled.

It would appear that Kate tends to be more prudent when it comes to her childrens’ hair, choosing to take them to Supercuts, a local budget salon near her home in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Some may argue that Kate deserves a little pampering.  She’s had a pretty bad year as her children have reportedly struggled to adjust after her divorce from husband Jon, leading to two of them being withdrawn from school.
