Reese Witherspoon dons hair extensions for Oscars glamour

Oh how we love the Oscars.  This is the one time we get to see all the hottest stars of the big screen dressed fully to impress.  And one of our favourite looks from last night’s bash came courtesy of Reese Witherspoon, who added human hair extensions to her blonde locks to transform herself into a true retro beauty, reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot.

Reece styled her hair extensions into a wide ponytail, with lots of volume and movement.  It’s quite a unique look but one that everyone can re-create with a little practice.  Here’s how you do it.

1. Purchase some clip-in hair extensions.
2. Pin your hair up in two sections at the top of your head.
3. Clip in the hair extensions underneath your real hair.
4. Wear a headband at the crown of your head, in a spot where all of your hair will cover it.
5. Flip your hair over the headband
6. Start lightly backcombing hair from the front, at the roots then pin sections up and back.  Mist with hairspray. 
7. Gather up the hair extensions along with the remainder of your real hair and pull it all into a loose ponytail, using an elastic.  Affix with lots of pins and mist with hairspray again – and there you have it, perfect Reece Witherspoon glamour!
