Snooki gets purple hair extensions

Jersey Shore star Nicole Polizzi – better known as Snooki – has followed the lead of other kooky celebs by getting coloured hair extensions.  Her long black mane has been highlighted with some funky purple and blonde streaks.  And the change doesn’t end there; the naturally brown-eyed girl is now sporting some blue contact lenses, to compliment her new hair!

Snooki had her hair extensions fitted at the swanky Manhattan salon, Gemini 14.  She debuted them during her “Good Morning America” appearance on Wednesday. 

The new look and slew of public appearances is no doubt down to the heavy promotion she’s doing at the moment for the latest season of Jersey Shore, which began airing last week in the US.  The premiere pulled in a record audience and the show looks set to be a big hit on both sides of the pond.
