Stay cool this summer with a fabric headband
Posted by Jo Roberts on July 19, 2010

As the weather continues to heat up and beach holidays beckon, it’s good to have a few ideas for keeping long locks and hair extensions away from our faces when we need to. There are a number of pretty accessories available in the shops right now, including clip-in flowers and butterfly clips, which can be used to decorate a braid, chignon or ponytail. However, if you want to show off your hair extensions yet keep your face clear while you go for a dip, the fabric headband is a great option and very on-trend too, being a favourite accessory of celebs such as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
Headbands are very versatile and are particularly handy if you’re trying to grow out a fringe (or if yours needs a trim!). Girls with all lengths of hair can wear them. If you are going swimming or taking part in something active, then it’s best to fasten your hair into a low chignon first. You can buy these headbands easily on the high street, or you can even use a scarf to create much the same effect.
Headbands are also perfect if you’re short on time or can’t be bothered with lengthy styling procedures. They can turn any kind of hair day into a great hair day!
