Trend alert: two-tone hair

We first spotted this look on the likes of Drew Barrymore and SJP last year – and it seems that the trend for two-tone hair is only gaining in popularity.  More and more celebs and fashionistas are reaching out for clip-in hair extensions to create their own take on it.

Those who colour their hair will have been guilty at some time or another of letting the roots grow just that bit too long before re-colouring.  If this sounds like you, then fear not because for now you will be considered glam rather than grim!

The latest stars to step out with two-tone hair include Alexa Chung, Rachel Bilson and Whitney Port.

There are many ways you can interpret this hot trend for yourself.  Colours which work particularly well together are chocolatey browns with copper or honey blonde highlights.  If you have a dark base colour, try using some human hair extensions in a lighter shade and dying them to match the base colour - but only from halfway down – so once you clip them in, they blend in perfectly.
