Victoria vs Cheryl

On the surface, they have a lot in common.  Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole both started their careers with highly successful girl groups.  They both married an international footballer.  They are both style icons.  And they happen to be two of the most famous wearers of hair extensions.  However, it seems that the two ladies have very different opinions on one another.

Cheryl recently heaped praise on Victoria in an interview, saying that she is a big fan of her work.  Mrs Beckham, meanwhile, is less than impressed with Ms Cole’s plans to branch out into fashion design, fearing that she is being copied, that the younger singer is out to steal her thunder – and that they will now be compared at every turn.

This isn’t the first time that the two WAGs have had a difference of opinion.  In 2009, Cheryl casually remarked that she thought Victoria’s fashion range was designed for the ‘older woman’. 

We don’t think there will be any Jersey Shore-style ripping of hair extensions just yet, but this is one rivalry which is likely to rumble on for a while yet…
