Why Princess Kate is our new Style Queen

It’s a modern day fairytale.  Just a few years ago, she was simply Kate Middleton, a classic English Rose but unworldly and ever so slightly gauche.  But on Friday, Princess Catherine looked elegant and unashamedly royal: every part the Queen-in-waiting.

Kate opted for a very natural look for her wedding; refreshingly simple yet glamorous.  Her much-admired brunette tresses were, as we had expected, given a boost by some human hair extensions, to complete her stunning ensemble.

According to sources, her hairdresser James Pryce, from the exclusive Richard Ward salon, used the hair extensions to thicken Kate’s hair because she was worried about losing that enviable volume as the day wore on.  Naturally, they were expertly done, so the final result was so natural, you would never be able to tell she’d had a helping hand.

There was a lot of debate about how Kate would be wearing her hair in the run-up to the big day.  In the end, it was rumoured that she insisted on wearing it down, so that William would recognise her completely as the girl he fell in love with.  Ahhhhh…..
