Zara Phillips to wear hair extensions on wedding day

Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Phillips is best known for her slightly tomboy-ish style and she likes to keep her hair and make-up refreshingly understated. However, news is spreading that when she weds England rugby star Mike Tindall later this month, she will be surprising us all with a major makeover.

30-year-old Zara will be wearing a Stewart Parvin wedding dress for the ceremony and a Paul Costelloe gown for the evening reception – and celebrity stylist Michael John will be lengthening her locks with some human hair extensions.

“Zara likes having short hair for her career as a rider but she wants a new look for the wedding,” says a source. “She will wear a tiara so she wants to add body to her hair with extensions.”

Unlike fellow royal bride Kate Middleton, Zara has also appointed a professional to do her make-up on the big day.
